UWL's School of Computing and Engineering has partnered with industry leaders to provide you with a course that will give you the foundation and skills needed to become an expert in the field.
The School of Computing and Engineering has established partnership with Amazon which is a world-leading Cloud-based security technology and solution provider. As a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy program, we will be able to integrate the curriculum developed and maintained by Amazon into the course so that you are exposed to the state-of-the-art technologies and solutions developed by world-leading IT industry.

Year one
The first year will focus on introducing cyber security. This will give you a fundamental understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field.
You will also study computer science modules to cover the principles of computing including essential aspects of:
Year two
In your second year you will move into specialist modules in cyber security. You will gain a solid understanding on key topics of cyber security.
You will continue computing modules to develop skills in analysis, design and development. You will also gain valuable team-working skills during a team project, focusing on cyber security topics.
Year three
In your final year, you will focus on specialised, advanced cyber security topics. This gives you the freedom to shape your degree to your interests and career ambitions. Your final year project will see you design and develop security-centric projects.
